Some children attending main stream school are identified as having Special Educational Needs.  At Reffley Academy the role of SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) is Mrs Claire Bunton. 

All children, whatever their academic ability, will need some extra help or encouragement in certain subjects or tasks throughout their education.  If a child is identified as having educational needs on a long term basis, provision is made within their classroom setting for extra assistance and additional learning programmes that suits the individual pupil's needs.
